Continental DW vs Bridgestone Potenza S-04

It's time to replace tires again on my OEM 19s and I want to see what your experiences are with the Continental DW and the Bridgestone Potenza S-04. They cost about the same.

I've read all the reviews on Tirerack and it seems like S-04s are slightly better while Continentals last longer.

The car is a DD with 245/40/19 F, 255/40/19 R about 50 miles a day. As such, PS2 will be too pricey for me.

My previous experience on tires were the OEM RE50s, which were great but pricey, and the Hankook V12s, which were great tires until it reached its 40% life (they become horrible).

I am looking for something the rides good, quiet and grips well.
What are your thoughts and experience on the tires?

Thanks

The DW has been out for quite a while longer so I tend to trust the feedback a tad more. In overall performance we found the DW to be a tad more favorable for that every day driver. I see quite a bit of those go out the door and people really like them. If it were me I'd go DW.

I've been using the DWS in a 245/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear and I absolutely freaking love these tires. Perfect for a daily commuter and needing an all-season option.

I can only imagine that the DW are great tires as well.

I am looking at tires and was thinking of going with the Hankook V12... but also looked at the S-04.
Right now I have 245/40/19 on front and rear..My rear need to be replaced, but I'm doing all 4 as I have had the car a year now and these will be my first new ones.

I have the DW's on my Z06 and I've been very happy with them.

I'm running the PS2's out back and the Potenza RE760's up front due to size issues. I truly believe the 760's are 90% of the tire the PS2's are and are almost $70 each cheaper in the 18" size. I would imagine the 19's pricing is similar. Don't know how the S04 compares to the 760 but I love my tires.

I just bought the s-04 PP because tires plus has a sale on the tires, plus if you can find a super saver tires plus card you can get 20% off the price of the tires. On top of all of that you can get a $70 visa prepaid card or $100 tires plus gift card which I am using to pay for the lifetime alignment service.
Installed out the door I think I will be paying about $850 for
275/35/ R19 x 2
245/40/ R19 x 2

I got a set of tires from SimpleTire.com awhile back and couldn't be happier with them. Low noise, great ride, steering response and handling like the car is on rails.

You just order online, and SimpleTire ships them to a local affiliate store for installation.

I saw a porsche running the 'ring the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's. Yes, all season tires. Might be worth the research if your looking for all seasons. It's gotten rave reviews.
