I only have 1 remote for my g35 sedan. If I buy another remote off of ebay and do this to reprogram both remotes for my car, will this also work for starting the car?? I have the ignition where you just need the remote in the car and you can turn the **** to start it.

BTW just bought this car used a couple day ago and only came with 1 key that will start the car. The other two keys work on the doors, but they won't start the car. I think they need the chips in the reprogrammed or something. Anyone have a good way of doing that without paying the dealer to do it? Can a locksmith do it? Thanks!

All right this is how it worked on my 05 G35 Coupe...

Everything same as other posters EXCEPT!!! ....

1. To start the process properly you need to open the door
2. Close door (door lock remains in unlocked position)
3. Use powerlock button to lock the doors
4. THEN THE RYTHMN needed to get the 7 needed key entries and removals to flash the lights is easy as pie.

I was able to get the hazards to flash sitting in the car and unlocking it and locking it a couple of times... but it doesn't clear the code for some reason at that point. And also make sure that your battery is un correctly, with the + sign facing DOWN in the fob, the + should face the plastic.

Once I realized the open close door then lock, this was cake.

My Japanese spec 2001 V35 sedan (same as US 2003 G35 sedan) has a similar problem to others.....

Power lock button does not lock drivers door.
Insertion of key 6 times does nothing.

When locking doors via drivers door lock, insertion of key 6 times just unlocks car, no flash of lights.

This is obviously why a previous owner had an aftermarket central locking system fitted. And yes, all of that system has been removed and returned to standard as the remote was lost....

If my Nissan dealer can do the computer hookup and reprogam for free, i'll try that...... for $150 i'd rather install a proper immobiliser

Unhappy extreme fob programming issues

Alright, I have tried all of the above and have only made matters worse.

I recently bought a fob off ebay for my 2003 G35 Coupe, as it only came with one when I bought the car last month.

I followed the directions above, and got as far as step 4. I pushed the button on the fob and it registered, I went to do the next one and something went wrong. Now neither fob works and the alarm cannot be deactivated.

Every time I do anything with the car, whether it's open and closing the door or starting the car, the alarm goes off. But the weird thing is, I can still start the car and drive it with the alarm going off.

My husband disconnected the alarm sound, so we don't need to deal with the sirens, just an irritating clicking sound.

I think the answer is to disarm the alarm and trying to program the fob again, but we can't disarm it without the fob. Is there another way of doing this?

Or is this something I'm going to have to take to the dealer?

Please help!!

Quick question, will this method work on the 2008 since you don't have to put the key in the ignition?

If you have the Intelligent Key Fob, you will have to take it to the dealer so they can program it for you. If you have one already and are adding another, you will have to have both programed together.

I bought a 2004 G35 Sedan yesterday with 1 key and 0 fobs. I reprogrammed (2) 2007 350Z fobs to work using these instructions. Yeah for me.

F*uck You! dealer programer and your expensive charge.
